White House May Take Bold Action on Immigration Reform

According to recent headlines, President Obama may be gearing up to announce dramatic changes to executive policies which could allow millions of undocumented immigrants to stay in the U.S free from the threat of deportation. Sources say that over the past several weeks White House officials have met with Democratic lawmakers and immigrant advocates to consider a host of bold actions which would provide relief to a substantial segment of the undocumented immigrant community. One possibility entertained by the administration has the potential to reach nearly half of the undocumented immigrant population. The plan could provide deportation relief and work permits to those law-abiding undocumented immigrants in close relation to U.S. citizens or to those with long-standing ties to the U.S
