State Department Implementing Worldwide Usage of DS-160
July 7th, 2010
The U.S. State Department has announced that all U.S. Embassies and Consulates that issue nonimmigrant visas are now using the DS-160 (a fully web-based nonimmigrant visa (NIV) application form).
For most applicants, the DS-160 application form replaces the DS-156, DS-157, DS-158, and the DS-3032. However, for now, applicants for "E" treaty trader or investor visas must complete both the DS-160 and the paper copy DS-156E until the new DS-161 is released. In addition, K visa applicants should continue to use the DS-156 and DS-156K forms.
