TPS has been extended and redesignated for Haiti for a period of 18 months (August 4, 2024 – February 3, 2026) “due to extraordinary and temporary conditions in Haiti” (e.g., regional concerns with violence/insecurity, lack of basic access to necessary services, and humanitarian impacts from weather and earthquakes). The Federal Register notice provides information about how to register as a new or current beneficiary for TPS. Please see the linked USCIS announcement for more details on the decision.

Those who were previously granted TPS for Haiti have 60 days to re-register, beginning from July 1, 2024, through August 30, 2024, to maintain their status and permission to work in the U.S. New registrants have the 18-month extension period to apply for TPS, along with employment and travel authorizations.
