House Expected to Pass STEM Jobs Act This Week

The GOP-backed bill (H.R. 6429) would allocate 55,000 additional green cards per year to those graduates with doctoral and masters degrees in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Notably, the bill would also expand the “V” nonimmigrant program by allowing spouses and minor children of permanent residents who have been on the green card waiting list for at least one year to come to the U.S. and reunite with their family member while they await approval.
