E-1 and E-2 Processing Changes in Canada

On February 26, 2016, the Consulate General of the United States of America in Toronto issued a press release outlining changes to the processing of E-1 and E-2 (Treaty Trader and Investor) visas in Canada for employees of companies with valid registrations and their dependents. The new changes at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto make the registration process more efficient and expand the processing locations to include the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa and the U.S. Consulate General offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, and Montreal. Officials believe these changes will help them better process the increasing number of E-1 and E-2 (Treaty Trader and Investor) visa applications.
