Jessika Silva earned her law degree in her home country, where her passion for justice and the legal system first began. After moving to the United States, she completed a Paralegal Certificate in Immigration Law in 2016 and began working at an immigration law firm in Miami. There, she gained experience with a wide range of cases, including family-based petitions, asylum, removal defense, and employment-based immigration.

Jessika joined Edgerton Immigration in 2025 and currently focuses on family-based and employment-based immigration matters, as well as consular processing. Her work is deeply informed by her own journey as an immigrant and her aspiration to become a licensed attorney in the United States. She is passionate about guiding clients through complex immigration processes and understands the challenges and hopes that come with starting a new life in a new country.

Outside of the office, Jessika volunteers with two nonprofit organizations that support the Hispanic community in North Carolina, helping newcomers integrate and grow in the U.S. She also contributes occasionally to an independent media outlet in her home country, writing and researching on legal and social topics. In her free time, Jessika enjoys crafting and values staying connected to her community through service and outreach.
