H-1B and L-1 Fee Increase

As of August 13, 2010, an additional fee has been added to certain H-1B, L-1A and L-1B petitions.

This fee applies to petitioners that employ 50 or more employees in the United States when more than 50 percent of their employees are working under H-1B, L-1A or L-1B nonimmigrant status.  For H-1B petitions, the additional fee is $2,000.  For L-1 petitions, it is $2,250.  This is in addition to the base processing fee, Fraud Prevention and Detection Fee, American Competitiveness and Workforce Improvement Act of 1998 fees, and any premium processing fees.  Further information is located here and here.
