USCIS has finished inputting data for all 2020 H-1B cap-subject petitions, including those chosen under the U.S. advanced degree exemption. They will start sending back all H-1B petitions that were not selected. Because of the large number of H-1B cap ffilings, the current time frame for returning the unselected petitions is unknown. Additionally, petitioners should wait to seek information about their petitions until they receive a receipt or their unselected petition that was returned.

Some of the petitions may be transferred between the Vermont and California Service Centers to address workload discrepancies. If a case is transferred, petitioners will be notified of the move.
