E-Verify Records 10 Years Old Being Deleted

On January 1, 2015, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) will delete all E-Verify transaction records over 10 years old. This action is being taken to minimize security and privacy risks associated with long-term retention of sensitive information. Employers with E-Verify transactions dating back before December 31, 2004, are urged to download and save a “Historic Records Report.” Employers can generate the report beginning October 1 through December 31, 2014. In future years, records will be deleted on an annual basis and USCIS will announce when employers can download an updated report.
