USCIS Resumes Premium Processing for Certain I-129 and I-140 Petitions in June 2020

USCIS announced the resumption of premium processing for eligible Nonimmigrant Worker Petitions (Form I-129) and Immigrant Petitions for Alien Workers (Form I-140) starting in early June 2020. Premium Processing had been temporarily suspended.

The resumption of premium processing will be in increments beginning June 8 with H-1B petitions for cap-exempt individuals and other I-129 petitions that were pending adjudication as of June 8, 2020. Starting June 15, 2020, USCIS will expand premium processing to eligible H-1B petitions for cap-exempt organizations, such as universities, non-profit research organizations and governmental research organizations. Effective June 22, USCIS intends to resume premium processing for all other I-129 petitions, including cap-subject H-1B petitions.

These dates are subject to change as USCIS continues to take on more premium processing requests.
