She is a past Chair of the Carolinas Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), has served on AILA’s Board of Governors as a Chapter Chair and as the National Chair of the Young Lawyers Division, and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Ethics and Professionalism Committee for AILA at the national level. Ms. Edgerton is regularly invited to speak at immigration conferences nationwide and has been selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2008 in the area of immigration law.
