PDF Print
Wednesday, 07 July 2010 11:35
US Citizenship and Immigration Services has proposed an increase in filing fees for immigration benefit applications and petitions.  While some petition fees would actually be decreased (K-1 fiance petitions would decrease from $455 to $340, for example) or experience only a slight increase (I-129 petitions,
used to sponsor H-1, L-1, and O-1 workers among others, would increase from $320 to $325), in general, the proposal would increase overall fees by a weighted average of about 10 percent.  The fee for naturalization applications would not change.

A complete summary of the proposed fee changes is available here.
